By downloading, installing, or using LacPointer ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

LacPointer is provided by Lac AI ("we," "us," or "our"). These terms govern your use of our desktop application and related services.

2. Service Description

LacPointer is an AI-powered desktop application that allows you to:

• • Analyze screenshots using AI technology
• • Ask questions and receive AI-generated responses
• • Maintain conversation history across screenshot sessions
• • Access your conversation history from any device

3. User Accounts

Account Creation: You must create an account to use LacPointer. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Account Security: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Subscription Plans

Free Plan: Limited to 5 screenshots per day with basic AI analysis features.

Pro Plan ($9.99/month): Unlimited screenshots, priority AI processing, advanced analysis, and priority support.

Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period.

Refunds: We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Contact support for refund requests.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use LacPointer to:

• • Capture or analyze content that violates others' privacy or intellectual property rights
• • Process illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the application
• • Use the service for automated or bulk processing without authorization
• • Share your account credentials with others
• • Circumvent usage limits or subscription requirements
• • Use the service to generate spam or malicious content

6. Your Content

Ownership: You retain all rights to the screenshots you capture and the content you create using LacPointer.

License to Process: By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your screenshots and questions solely to provide AI analysis services to you.

Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you capture and analyze. We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated responses.

7. AI-Powered Features

Accuracy: AI-generated responses are provided "as is" and may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always verify critical information.

No Professional Advice: LacPointer does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Do not rely on AI responses for professional decisions.

Improvements: We continuously improve our AI models. Response quality and features may change over time.

8. Data Storage and Security

Screenshot Storage: Screenshots and conversation history are stored securely on our servers to provide cross-device access.

Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard security measures.

Data Retention: Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual conversations or your entire account at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

The LacPointer application, including its design, code, logo, and branding, is owned by Lac AI and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our application without explicit written permission.

10. System Requirements

macOS: Currently supported with full functionality. Requires screen recording and accessibility permissions.

Windows: Coming soon. Will require screen capture permissions.

You are responsible for ensuring your system meets the requirements and for granting necessary permissions.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations

No Warranty: LacPointer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Service Availability: We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance and updates may cause temporary unavailability.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lac AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.

12. Changes to Service and Terms

Service Updates: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with or without notice.

Terms Updates: We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.

13. Termination

By You: You may stop using LacPointer and delete your account at any time through the dashboard.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms, illegal activity, or abuse of the service.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Lac AI is registered. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
